Our editorial mission
Tech Dose Daily exists to help readers make confident technology decisions. We publish technology news, hands-on gadget reviews, buying guides, comparisons, how-to guides and opinion — written for people who are about to spend money on tech and want a clear, honest verdict, not a press release.
Editorial independence
Our editorial decisions are made by our editorial team alone. No advertiser, affiliate partner, sponsor, or commercial relationship can purchase a favourable review, dictate the angle of a story, edit a verdict, or prevent the publication of a critical piece.
When commercial relationships exist (advertising, affiliate links, sponsored content, review units lent by a brand), we disclose them clearly in line with our Affiliate Disclosure, Sponsored Content Policy and Review Methodology.
Sources, attribution and fact-checking
- We attribute reported facts to their sources. Where a story is based on another publication’s reporting, we credit them and link to the original piece.
- We prefer primary sources — official announcements, regulatory filings, court documents, manufacturer specifications and named on-the-record interviews — over aggregator or rumour-mill posts.
- We treat anonymous sources cautiously. We will only use an anonymous source where the information is significant, where we have verified the source’s identity and credibility internally, and where we cannot reasonably obtain the same information on the record. We do not promise anonymity casually.
- Specifications, prices, dates and quotes are fact-checked against the original source before publication. Where we cannot independently verify a claim, we say so.
- For rapidly developing news, we publish initial reports clearly marked as “developing” and update them with timestamps as new information becomes available.
Use of artificial intelligence
We do not publish AI-generated articles. Every article, review and buying guide published on Tech Dose Daily is written by a human member of our editorial team or a named contributor.
We may use AI tools internally for limited, non-editorial tasks such as transcribing recorded interviews, generating headline variants for human selection, spell-checking, or speeding up routine research. In all cases, the final published copy is written, reviewed and signed off by a human editor.
We do not use AI to generate review verdicts, scores, photographs or original product imagery.
Authorship and bylines
Every article carries a named byline linking to the author’s public profile, which includes a photo, biography, areas of expertise and external profiles. We do not publish anonymous or pseudonymous articles. Where an article has had a significant contribution from another writer, we credit them in the byline or in a contributor note.
Conflicts of interest
- Our writers and editors must disclose to the Editor any personal, financial or family relationship with a company, person or product they are about to cover, before covering it. Where the relationship is material, we will reassign the story or add a public disclosure.
- Writers may not hold securities in companies they regularly cover in a way that would create a conflict of interest. Holdings, if any, must be declared to the Editor.
- Writers may not accept personal gifts, paid travel or other inducements from companies they cover, except for review units loaned for the purpose of writing a review (which are returned per our Review Methodology) and standard press passes for industry events.
Coverage of advertisers and partners
We cover advertisers, sponsors and affiliate partners using exactly the same editorial standards we apply to non-partner companies. We will publish a critical review of an advertiser’s product if our testing leads us to that verdict, and we will publish a positive review of a non-advertiser’s product where warranted.
Diversity and inclusion
We aim for our coverage to reflect the diversity of India’s tech audience — across regions, gender, language preference and income level. Our buying guides span price bands accessible to a wide range of readers, and we work with contributors and sources from varied backgrounds.
Updates and republications
When we materially update an article (for example, after a price change, a software update, or a follow-up announcement), we add a clear “Updated:” date at the top of the article and note what changed at the bottom or in an editor’s note. We do not silently rewrite published articles.
Reader feedback
We take reader feedback seriously. Tips, story ideas and questions can be sent to tips@techdosedaily.com. Concerns about specific articles can be sent to editorial@techdosedaily.com. To request a correction, see our Correction Policy.
