News
Tech moves fast, and most of it doesn’t matter. Our News section is built to fix that — a daily, India-first feed of what actually affects what you buy, what you use, and what you pay for it. We cover launches, price changes, policy shifts, and platform updates from both Indian and global tech, but we filter hard: if a story doesn’t change a decision you might make, it doesn’t get a post.
Expect plain-English reporting with the context Indian readers need. When a phone launches globally, we tell you whether — and when — it’s coming to India, and at what rupee price. When a new data law or telecom rule passes, we explain what it means for your everyday use, not just the legal text. When a company makes a claim, we say whether the claim holds up.
Every news post here is short by design — usually a two-minute read — because news should respect your time. We lead with the takeaway, give you the facts that matter, and link out to deeper explainers or guides when a topic deserves more room. Fast-moving stories carry a clear “last verified” date so you always know how current the information is.
What you won’t find here: rewritten press releases dressed up as journalism, hype about specs that don’t affect real use, or speculation presented as fact. We’re skeptical of marketing by default, and we’d rather publish less and be right than chase every rumour.
If you want the bigger picture on a topic, our buying guides and comparisons turn the news into actual purchase decisions, and our explainers break down the jargon. Start here for what happened today; follow the links for what to do about it.
