The short version

Some links on Tech Dose Daily are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission. It does not cost you extra. It does not influence our verdict.

That is the rule we hold ourselves to, and the rest of this page explains exactly how it works.

What is an affiliate link?

An affiliate link is a special URL that contains a tracking code identifying Tech Dose Daily as the referrer. When you click the link and buy a qualifying product from the merchant, the merchant pays Tech Dose Daily a percentage of the sale as a commission. The price you pay is the same as if you had visited the merchant directly.

Affiliate programs we participate in

Tech Dose Daily participates in the following affiliate programs and networks (this list may change from time to time):

  • Amazon Associates (Amazon.in and other Amazon stores)
  • Flipkart Affiliate Program
  • Cuelinks (which aggregates many Indian retailers)
  • INRDeals, EarnKaro and similar Indian affiliate networks
  • Impact, Commission Junction (CJ), ShareASale and similar global affiliate networks — primarily for software, AI tools, web hosting and international electronics
  • Direct brand affiliate programs — entered into on a case-by-case basis with manufacturers and retailers

As an Amazon Associate, Tech Dose Daily earns from qualifying purchases. This statement is included to comply with the Amazon Associates Program Operating Agreement.

How we disclose affiliate links in our content

We follow the disclosure standards required by the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) Guidelines for Influencer Advertising in Digital Media, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) Endorsement Guidelines 2022, and the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guides:

  • Every article that contains one or more affiliate links carries a clearly visible disclosure box at or near the top of the article, before the affiliate link appears.
  • The disclosure uses plain-language terms such as “affiliate”, “affiliate link” or “we may earn a commission”. We do not bury disclosures in hashtags, fine print or footers only.
  • Where we recommend a product, the disclosure appears before the recommendation, so you can see it before making any decision.
  • On videos and podcasts (where applicable), disclosure is announced verbally and shown on screen in line with ASCI requirements.

How affiliate income does NOT influence our editorial

We have several rules that protect our reviews and recommendations from being shaped by commercial relationships:

  • Editorial and commercial are separated. The person who writes a review does not negotiate the affiliate or sponsorship terms. The decision to cover a product is made independently of any commercial relationship.
  • Verdicts are not for sale. A merchant cannot pay us to receive a positive review, a higher score, or to remove or edit a negative review. We do not work with merchants who request this and we end relationships when it is attempted.
  • We will publish a negative verdict on a product that earns us affiliate commissions if that is the honest verdict. We have done so before and we will do so again.
  • We do not promote products we have not personally examined or that we would not recommend to a friend.
  • Where two products are similar in value and one pays a higher affiliate commission than the other, we still recommend the one we believe is better for the reader, and we say so explicitly in the comparison.

How we get the products we review

On every review, we tell you how we obtained the unit. The options are:

  • Purchased independently by Tech Dose Daily.
  • Loaned by the brand or manufacturer as a review unit, with no obligation to publish a positive review. The unit is returned at the end of the review period.
  • Retained for long-term testing with the brand’s permission. Where this is the case, we say so, and we factor any long-term findings into a “Re-review” or “Long-term update” post.

In no case does receiving a review unit influence our verdict. We have published negative reviews of products lent to us; we will continue to do so where the product warrants it.

Sponsored content is different

Affiliate links are not the same as sponsored content. When a brand pays us to publish a piece of content, that content is clearly labelled “Sponsored” or “In partnership with [Brand]” at the very top, in line with our Sponsored Content Policy. We do not let sponsorship be confused with editorial.

What you can do if you prefer not to use our affiliate links

If you would like to support Tech Dose Daily, using our affiliate links to make purchases at no extra cost to you is one way to do it. If you would rather not, you can navigate to any merchant directly and your purchase will be unaffected by anything we have written. We will still publish the same content.
